Help me make the bnuuy.ca mascot

I barely know what I want. But here are some of my thoughts so far. This will be updated from time to time as I figure this shit out.

Use this mascot tester page to see how your drawing might end up.

Purpose

The purpose of this illustration is to depict a character that will be the mascot of bnuuy.ca. This character will be prominently featured on the front page.

Display context

The front page of bnuuy.ca will have a small box containing pertinent site information. Behind that box is a large background displaying a picture of the mascot.

So pretty much like e621.

Technical specifications

• File type: PNG, SVG, or WebP
• Aspect ratio: tall, not wide
• Resolution: more is better

Character’s appearance

Because designing a character in a vacuum is hard, I have some ideas for the mascot but don’t know how well they’ll actually work. It’s going to take a bit of experimentation between us to figure this out.

Details

• Species: rabbit, obviously. Short ears (for a rabbit), like a breed such as Netherland Dwarf or Dwarf Hotot.
• Looks like a bnuuy. Cute, blobby, etc.
• Gender: ambiguous_gender
• Fingers: 4 per paw, including thumb
• Ears:
  • right ear has a tattoo — dot-matrix pattern showing some kind of techy pattern
  • left ear flops down
• Fur: mainly white with natural black/grey eyeliner (IMO the hotot fur pattern is less common, so I’m using that)
• Body proportions: you know what I like. Big head, short legs, etc.
• Footwear: I’m ambivalent about if there should be any
• Clothes: modern or futuristic

In this drawing

Some pose ideas:

• faux-nonchalant standing, viewed mostly from the front
• facing slightly away from camera, looking back at viewer
• being very smol and held in a cupped hand
• enigmatic album art kind of pose
• any cool idea you had, like (IIRC) sitting on the ground with a leg up

A rabbit head facing to the right of the screen looks kind of like a lowercase letter B. I want to take advantage of this. If practical, they should be facing right.

Facial expression — I think one of these will work well:

• aloof
• mildly smug
• wide-eyed blank stare, like a wild rabbit

Right ear tattoo

The tattoo on their right ear is in a dot-matrix style. It’s only a few dots wide.

It shows an abstract pattern. A grid of dots fade off in a dithered pattern.
